Cold Fire also prevents re-flash or re-ignition on Class B fires (both hydrocarbon and polar solvent) by encapsulating the oil, removing the heat and fuel sources from the fire tetrahedron. Designed to instantly cool down hot surfaces and extinguish fires ranging from grass, fabrics, gasoline, kitchen grease fires, metals, tires and more. Meets NFPA standards while having the advantages of foam and dry chemical without the mess, contamination or need of specialized equipment. It has also been included in the SNAP (Significantly New Alternative Policy) Program Vendor List by the U.S. EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). Used by fire departments around the world, this environmentally friendly product is one agent that can replace several and should make choosing your next fire safety agent a no brainer.
Cold Fire can be used on grass, fabric, wood, fuel, metals, kitchen fires ect. In emergencies it can also be used as a thermal barrier.
Application Examples on Types of Fires
Class A - Ordinary Combustibles ex: Wood, Fabric
Class B - Flammable Liquids or Gases ex: Fuel
Class D- Combustible Metals ex: Magnesium
Class K- Cooking Fires ex: Grease
FAST, CLEAN & SAFE
GREEN ECO-FIRENDLY, NON-TOXIC & BIODEGRADABLE
EASY TO USE
INSTANTLY COOLS HOT SURFACES
PUTS OUT A VARIETY OF TYPES OF FIRES
NO MESSY CLEAN UP REQUIRED
When cooling down hot metals, just a little bit of product will quickly drop the temperature down enough to work with. It is an advanced wetting agent that is able to quickly and cleanly extinguish everything from tires to methanol to magnesium. It is UL rated, completely non-toxic, non-corrosive and non-slip. Unlike old-fashioned AFFF foam, it is completely non-corrosive and has an indefinite shelf life. It will never gel, crystallize, separate or corrode the metal. It puts out both hydrocarbon (gas, diesel, crude) AND polar solvent (ethanol, methanol) fires. In the case of a methanol fire, which can burn without a visible flame, you can spray everything as a precaution, because it is non-toxic, and noncorrosive. When dry it leaves almost no residue. It will actually clean the track where it is sprayed, because it encapsulates the loose hydrocarbons in spilled fuel without damaging the asphalt/tarmac.
Cold Fire is extremely easy to use whether you are a first time user or a professional. Just in case, you may also find directions on the label or check our Directions Page.
